Football regulations will apply, back-pass,
tackle from behind, violent conduct rules all being
enforced. Red card offences will result in the offending
player being banned from his team’s following
match. No offside rule for all games.
Duration
Duration for each match during
the Group Phase will be twenty (20) minutes in total
one way . The Play-Off matches will be thirty (30) minutes
in total one-way. No injury time will be added on “rolling
substitution” system will be used.
Groups
We expect ten (10) participating
teams maximum 18 players per team.
The teams will be initially split
into two (2) groups of five teams (Red and Blue Group).
The draw of the teams into the two groups will take
place during the Opening Ceremony on Friday 1 September.
Each team will play each of the other
teams in it’s group once. That means five (5)
matches for each team during the group phase. Each team
will play four (4) group matches on Saturday 3 September,
and the final group match
At the conclusion of the group phase,
the two groups will be ranked, and a simple play-off
scenario will take place to decide the final Tournament
rankings, as per the following schedule:
Red 5th v Blue 5th – to decide
9th and 10th positions
Red 4th v Blue 4th – to decide 7th and 8th positions
Red 3th v Blue 3th – to decide 5th and 6th positions
Red 2rd v Blue 2rd – to decide 3th and 4th positions
Red 1st v Blue 1st – to decide
RUNNER-UP and Ming Wah 8’s CUP WINNER
A winning team will be awarded three
(3) points, and the losing team zero (0) points. During
the group phase, a draw will be awarded one (1) point.
In the group phase, one (1) bonus point
will be awarded to a team for scoring three (3) goals
or more. Scoring six (6) goals will gain two (2) bonus
points, etc.
Group tie-breaking, to decide the final
group positions, will be decided according to the following
priorities:
1) highest total points
2) head to head result
3) best goal difference
4) most goals scored
5) penalty shoot-out
In the play-off phase, if the
result is a drawn game, a penalty shootout should decide
the result (five penalties each), followed by sudden-death
penalties if required.
