The Shekou Soccer 8’s is a eight aside one day football tournament. It has been running since 1999 when one team, Swiss XI from Hong Kong, played one local team from China. Every year the tournament has grown with Western and Chinese players from Hong Kong and China, representing all four corners of the globe.

All Hong Kong teams are part of the largest non professional league in Hong Kong (Yau Yee League). This tournament is played a few weeks prior to the start of the new league year and is considered the best warm up tournament around.
